Duties & Responsibilities

  • Control of development in existing built environment in terms of the Land Use Planning Ordinance (Ordinance 15 of 1985)
  • Enforcement of Council’s Scheme Regulations
  1. Dealing with rezoning applications
  2. Subdivision of land
  3. Dealing with consent and departure uses
  4. Proxies and Erf diagrams
  5. Applications for erection of signage (advertisements) and enforcement of by- laws
