Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for the following departments/sections:
Electrical Engineering which includes:
- Electricity distribution
- Planning and maintenance of electrical infrastructure
Civil Engineering which includes:
- Bulk water provision
- Water and wastewater treatment
- Water and wastewater reticulation
- Roads and stormwater
- Planning and maintenance of civil infrastructure
- Transport and traffic planning
- Project management
- Fleet management
- Mechanical workshop
Solid waste management which includes:
- Refuse removal, treatment, recycling and disposal
- Street cleansing
- Monitoring of illegal dumping
Disaster management which includes:
- Disaster management
- Fire and emergency rescue services

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform secretarial duties to the Director Engineering Services
- Receive incoming letters/memo’s/faxes for attention Director Engineering Services
- Maintain diary of Director Engineering Services
- Arrange meetings/discussions with other parties
- Type all documentation for Director Engineering Services and distribute documents to other departments
- Handle reservations of conference rooms for meetings
- Write requisitions in order to get an order number for different expenses
