The Community Facilities Department, reside under the Community Services Directorate. We are responsible to manage and maintain 12 community halls and 7 sport fields within the five towns of the Langeberg Municipal area according to the available budget as approved by Council. We ensure the execution of the Langeberg Municipal Council Policy on the utilization and access to Community Facilities by handling public enquiries, booking of facilities and access to facilities.
The following halls is available for public functions or private hire by the general public during the week or over weekends. Bookings should be done well in advance and payment for securing facilities should be done the preceding Wednesday prior to the function before 12h00.
Proof of payment should be provided to the bookings office. EFT payments should reflect by the Wednesday preceding the actual event and emailed to the bookings office.
Charges vary according to the category under which the Community facility fall under.
View the 2023-2024 financial year Community Facilities tariffs here. The hiring amount vary depending on the nature of the function. An R800 refundable deposit charge applies and R140 opening and closing fee.
Please note that Langeberg Municipality reserves the right to cancel any booking.
