Notice is hereby given in terms of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, 2000 (Act No. 32 of 2000) of the intention of  Council to adopt the 2023 – 2027 Langeberg Municipality Process Plan.

The Langeberg Municipality Process Plan will be available for public comment/inspection at the below-mentioned offices and libraries of the Langeberg Municipality

as well as on the Langeberg Municipality website at https://www.langeberg.gov.za/langeberg-documents-and-notices/publications/idp/4441-2023-2024-draft-budget-and-idp-process-plan/file:

  • 28 Main Road, Ashton (Ms L Bekkers)
  • 03 Piet Retief Street , Montagu (Ms W Wiese)
  • 52 Church Street , Robertson (Ms M Jacobs)
  • Main Road, Bonnievale (Ms P Pietersen)
  • 42 Voortrekker Street, McGregor (Ms L Joseph)

Public inputs and comments on the Langeberg Municipality Process Plan must reach the Office of the Municipal Manager before 12:00 on 23 August 2022.

Any person who cannot write may seek the assistance of an official at the above-mentioned offices, to transcribe his/her comments and inputs.

The Draft Budget and IDP Process Plan and time-schedule for 1 July 2023 - 30 June 2027 was submitted to Council for consideration and is now open for public comments.

Public inputs and comments on the Langeberg Municipality Process Plan must reach the Office of the Municipal Manager before 12:00 on 23 August  2022.

Register on the IDP database

Langeberg Municipality hereby invites all community organisations to register on the Langeberg Municipality IDP Database. The intention for registration is to establish a forum that will participate in the development and implementation of the municipality’s IDP.

Applications are hereby invited from interest groups in the following areas:

  • Community leaders
  • Non-Governmental Organisations and Community Based Organisations
  • Cultural/Natural heritage e.g. Rastafarian and traditional healers groups
  • Religions groups
  • Water quality/aquatic environment
  • Nature-based recreation
  • Schools and Early childhood development centres (ECD’s)
  • Ratepayers associations
  • Sport organisation
  • Arts and Culture organisations
  • Disabled, Child Protection and Gender Equality Groups

Community organisations that have already registered need not to register again but may update their information if necessary.

We urge all community organisations to register throughout the year.
