The Community Facilities Department, residing under Community Services Directorate maintaine and manage 12 community halls and 7 Sport fields within the five towns of the Municipality. We are responsible to manage and maintain these halls within the available budget. We also manage client services, access control, handle the reservations and ensure the execution of the Council’s Policy on facilities.
Langeberg Municipal Council approves the maintenance budget available for Community Facilities Department. Public enquiries, access to facilities and the bookings of Community Facilities forms part of the mandate in which Community Facilities operate to ensure the execution of Langeberg Municipal Council Policy on the utilization and access to Community Facilities.
The following halls is available for public functions or private hire by the general public during the week or over weekends. Bookings should be done well in advance and payment for securing facilities should be done the preceding Wednesday prior to the function before 12h00.
Charges may vary according to the category under which the Community facility fall under as approved by Langeberg Municipal Council.
For the new financial year of 2021-2022 an increase of 7% is applicable on all Community Facilities tariffs.
Please note that Langeberg Municipality reserves the right to cancel any booking.
