Calling for Inspection of Valuation Roll of Properties and Lodging of Objections

 The valuation roll for the financial years 2015-2019 (date of valuation 2/7/14) is open for public inspection at the municipal offices and libraries or on the website, from 24 February 2015 to 2 April 2015.  

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 49(1) (a)(i) read with section 78(2) of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004 (Act No. 6 of 2004), hereinafter referred to as the “Act”, that the valuation roll for the financial years 2015-2019 (date of valuation 2/7/14) is open for public inspection at the municipal offices and libraries or at website www.langeberg.gov.za, from 24 February 2015 to 2 April 2015. An invitation is hereby made in terms of section 49(1) (a)(ii) of the Act that any owner of property or other person who so desires should lodge an objection with the municipal manager in respect of any matter reflected in, or omitted from, the property valuation roll within the above period.

Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of section 50 (2) of the Act, an objection must be in relation to a specific individual property and not against the property supplementary valuation roll as such.
