NPO SUSTAINABILITY WORKSHOPS TAKING PLACE IN LANGEBERG
The Langeberg Municipality in collaboration with Department of Social Development (Community Development and Partnership and the Institutional Capacity Building Unit) hosted a two-day workshop on sustainability for Non-Profit Organisations (NPO) during 23-24 January 2024.
The Sustainability Workshop emanated from the NPO Compliance Roadshow, which took place around the Langeberg region from November 13–16, 2023. With the aim to capacitate organisations through their board members. Training covered the subjects of organizational governance, policies and compliance with the NPO Act.
The initial training session was attended by 27 NPOs from Robertson, and the workshop will be implemented in all of the communities within the Langeberg Municipality.
From this training an NPO Forum was established in Robertson that will meet on a monthly basis.
