TRAFFIC REDIRECTION: CHURCH STREET, ROBERTSON

Paving installation at Church Street near the Robertson Quarters shopping centre has commenced. From 22 February until 07 March 2024, access onto Church Street via Johan de Jong Rylaan will be closed. Traffic will be temporarily redirected with detour routes as indicated in the below image.

Due to the high volume of traffic at this intersection, the construction project is split up into four separate road segments, each of which will be closed off in phases. In order to facilitate traffic flow and minimize disturbance to the public and the shopping centre, the entrance and delivery gate for Checkers will be handled in half widths.

To ensure the safety of every road user, we request you to please be patient during the construction period and adhere to the detour road signs and flag officials. Parking of trucks in this area will not be permitted during the construction phase.

The project forms part of the Langeberg Municipality infrastructure improvement plan and involves the installation of edge beams, pavers with grouting, and kerbs on both sides of the street.

Working hours will be from 07h00 until 17h00, 6 days of the week, Monday to Saturday.
