ATTENTION: WARNING ABOUT FRAUDULENT TENDER ACTIVITIES

The Municipality wants to alert all bidders to recent scams involving the misuse of management information to demand illegal bribes. These actions are illegal, and we want to emphasise that any attempt to solicit bribes is strictly forbidden.

There have been reports of an individual impersonating members of our Management Team, using their names and providing false banking details to trick tenderers into making payments. Please note that these banking details do not belong to the Municipality. A criminal case of identity fraud has been opened at SAPS.

If anyone approaches you, claiming to represent the Municipality or asking for money in exchange for favours, please report it immediately. Participation in illegal activities, including bribery, will lead to severe consequences. Any company found guilty will be blacklisted and banned from future opportunities on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).

We urge all bidders to uphold high standards of integrity and cooperate with us to maintain a fair and transparent tendering process. Stay vigilant and protect yourself from fraud.
