Notice is hereby given that Langeberg Municipality, at a Council Meeting held on 25 August 2026, adopted the Time-Schedule, including the Implementation Plan for the development of the 6th Generation Integrated Development Plan (IDP) (2027–2032). The Time-Schedule was adopted in terms of Section 28 of the Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000. Notice is hereby given that Langeberg Municipality has on a Council Meeting on 22 August 2025, adopted Integrated Development Plan (IDP) Process Plan. The IDP Process Plan has been approved in terms of Section 28 of the Municipal Systems Act 32 of 2000. The IDP Process Plan for Langeberg Municipality will be available on the municipal website and libraries.

The Langeberg Municipality invites all community organisations to register or update their information on our official Community Organisations Database.

We encourage participation from a wide range of organisations involved in local affairs, including (but not limited to):

  • Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs)
  • Community-Based Organisations (CBOs)
  • Religious institutions (Churches)
  • Unions
  • Schools and educational bodies
  • Healthcare and social service providers
  • Clubs and fraternities
  • Political organisations (note: see conditions below)
  • Local businesses

This database plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate records of active community organisations within the Langeberg municipal area. It also enables us to share information about opportunities for engagement in municipal processes, such as the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Budget-related activities at both local and district levels.

Benefits of Registration:
Organisations listed in the database are eligible to apply for free use of municipal community halls once per quarter, for meetings or events related to municipal affairs.
Please note that the Use of these facilities for political activities is not permitted.

- Provide minutes of the first Constituting meeting of the Organisation / Association / Body
