Interested persons are herewith invited to tender for leasing of Municipal property as contained in the tender document.

must be placed in the tender box at the Municipal Offices, 28 Main Road, Ashton before 12:00 on Friday, 28 November 2025 where after tenders will be opened in public.

Late tenders or tenders received by fax or incomplete tenders will not be accepted. Proof of dispatch of a tender will not be regarded as proof of receipt there of. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

Tenders must be submitted on the original document which can be obtained from the Reception of the various Municipal Offices and Municipal Website www.langeberg.gov.za . Notice is hereby given that Council intends to lease a portion of the road from the Hoops River bridge to the corner of Constitution & Reitz Street, Robertson for a period of 3 years to Robertson Koop Winery PTY & Roodezandt Wines.

Details regarding to the proposed lease will be available at the Ashton Office during normal office hours at Ms S Rossouw (Tel. 023 – 615 8023).  Legal and fully motivated comments/objections, as applicable, must be submitted in writing to the Municipal Manager not later than 14 November 2025.

Council approved the following dates for Council Meetings for the 2026 calendar year.

 Applications are invited from deserving applicants in the Langeberg area, to apply for Grant in aid in terms of the Municipality’s Grant in Aid Policy.

The following categories are eligible for Grant-In-Aid:

a.             Solid Waste (Cleansing)

b.             Social Development

c.             Youth, Sports and Recreation

d.             Environment

e.             Health

Only applications on the prescribed form, that is obtainable from the Municipal Offices or the Municipal Website: www.langeberg.gov.za, will be considered. Applicants must please consult Council’s Grant in Aid policy for completeness. This policy is also available from all Municipal Office and website.  Completed application forms, together with all the required documents including business plans or motivation, must be clearly marked, “Grant-in-Aid Application” and mailed or delivered to the address below.  Organisations that have received grants in the past from the Municipality must ensure that audited financial statements are included.  The closing date is extended until Friday, 31 October 2025.  Those who have already applied this year should not apply again.
