Applications are invited from deserving applicants in the Langeberg area, to apply for Grant in aid in terms of the Municipality’s Grant in Aid Policy.

The following categories are eligible for Grant-In-Aid:
a. Solid Waste (Cleansing)
b. Social Development
c. Youth, Sports and Recreation
d. Environment
e. Health

Only applications on the prescribed form, that is obtainable from the Municipal Offices or the Municipal Website at https://www.langeberg.gov.za/documents/application-forms.html, will be considered. 

Applicants must please consult Council’s Grant in Aid policy available from the Municipal Offices or the Municipal Website at: https://www.langeberg.gov.za/documents/policies/policies-2025-2026.html, for completeness.

Completed application forms, together with all the required documents including business plans or motivation, must be clearly marked, “Grant-in-Aid Application” and mailed to the address below or delivered to any Langeberg Municipal Office for the attention of Mrs I Cook.

Organisations that have received grants in the past from the Municipality must ensure that audited financial statements are included. 

The closing date is Friday, 29 August 2025. No late applications will be considered. For further information please contact Mrs I Cook by 023 626 8214. 

If required, assistance with regards to the completion of the application form will be given at the municipal offices. The Municipality reserves the right not to make an award.

pdf NOTICE OF APPLICATIONS FOR LIQUOR LICENCES IN TERMS OF SECTION 37(1) OF THE WESTERN CAPE LIQUOR ACT, 2008

Notice is hereby given that the following applications for liquor licences have been lodged with the Western Cape Liquor Authority (the Authority) and with the designated liquor officers at the indicated South African Police Service offices.


The applications concerned may, up to and including the 28th day from the date of publication of the application, upon request and free of charge, be inspected by any person, at the offices of the Authority or the designated liquor officer listed hereunder. Copies of an application can be obtained from the Authority after payment of the prescribed fee.


Objections and representations must be lodged in writing with the Authority and the designated liquor officer in accordance with section 39 of the Act.

Notice is hereby given that an application for the removal of a liquor licence has been lodged with the Western Cape Liquor Authority (the Authority) and with the designated liquor officer in whose area of jurisdiction the licensed premises are currently located and, where the granting of the application will have the effect of removing the licence to the area of jurisdiction of another designated liquor officer, also with the designated liquor officer of that area.


The application concerned may, up to and including the 28th day from the date of publication of the application, upon request and free of charge, be inspected by any person at the offices of the Authority or the relevant designated liquor officer(s). Copies of the application can be obtained from the Authority after payment of the prescribed fee.


Objections and representations may be lodged in writing with the Authority and the relevant designated liquor officer(s) in accordance with regulation 33(13) of the Regulations.

Notice is hereby given that Council intends to lease a portion of erf 2, Muiskraalskop Robertson for a period of 3 years to Mast Services (Pty) Ltd Vodacom Site BS 7911 for a communication base station.

PROPOSED LEASE OF ROBERTSON AIRFIELD

Notice is hereby given that Council intends to lease a Robertson Airfield for a period of 9 years 11 months to Robertson Flying Club.

PROPOSED ALIENATION FOR A PROPOSED PIPELINE AND SERVITUDE (REFERS TO A PUMP STATION & ELECTRICAL SERVITUDE) OVER ERF 2, ROBERTSON 

Notice is hereby given that Council intention to alienate a proposed pipeline and servitude (refers to a pump station & electrical servitude) over erf 2, Robertson to Constitution Road Wine Growers.

Details regarding to the proposed lease will be available at the Ashton Office during normal office hours at Ms S Rossouw (Tel. 023 – 615 8023).  Legal and fully motivated comments/objections, as applicable, must be submitted in writing to the Municipal Manager not later than 22 August 2025.
