The Langeberg Municipality cordially invites all prospective suppliers of goods and services to self-register on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) website, www.csd.gov.za. 
The Langeberg Municipality reserves the right to procure goods and services only from the suppliers registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
Existing suppliers and service providers are required to update their details and documentation on the CSD on a regular basis.

Notice is hereby given, in terms of Section 67 and Circular 131 of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act 56 of 2003), that the local community is invited to submit comments or representations on the organisations that have applied for Grant-in-Aid funding for the 2025/26 financial year.

All comments or representations must be submitted on or before 19 January 2026 at 12:00. Any submissions received after the closing date and time will not be considered.

Written or electronic comments must be submitted for the attention of the Municipal Manager, clearly marked “COMMENTS ON ORGANIZATIONS THAT APPLIED FOR GRANT-IN-AID FOR THE 2025/26 FINANCIAL YEAR.

Written submissions may be delivered to any Langeberg Municipal Office or posted to Private Bag X2, Ashton, 6715. Alternatively, comments may be submitted via the Municipality’s official social media platforms, website contact form, or by replying to any Langeberg Municipal Notice SMS (R1.50 per SMS). Persons who are unable to write may visit 4 Church Street, Robertson, during office hours, where Mr I. Cook (Manager: Local Economic Development and Rural Development) or another authorised official will assist in transcribing their comments or representations.

The current Level 1 water restrictions are not having the required effect. Residents are urged to reduce water consumption immediately and strictly adhere to Level 1 restrictions.

If the required reduction is not achieved during December, Level 2 restrictions will be unavoidable from 1 January. A minimum of 10% water reduction must be achieved in all towns.

Let’s work together to save water and avoid stricter measures.

The extreme heat that we are experiencing lately has a huge impact on water consumption. Although water restrictions have been in place for just over a month the consumption is still very high and the overall water consumption trend is not downward.

As we move into the holiday season we urgently request all consumers to reduce their water consumption.
