LANGEBERG RESIDENTS URGED TO MAKE THEIR VOTE COUNT

Langeberg Municipality encourages all eligible residents to participate in the Local Government Elections on Wednesday, 4 November 2026.

Voting is one of the most important rights and responsibilities of every South African citizen. The future of our communities depends on residents’ participation in the democratic process. We therefore urge all registered voters to turn out in their numbers and vote for the party and candidates of their choice.

Before Election Day, please confirm the voting station where you are registered:
- SMS your South African ID number to 32810 (R1.00 per SMS) to check your voter registration status and voting station.
- Alternatively, visit the website at www.elections.org.za and enter your ID number under My Voter Registration to view your voting details. https://www.elections.org.za
- For assistance, contact the IEC Contact Centre on 0800 11 8000

A total of 36 voting stations will be operating across the Langeberg municipal area to serve voters on Election Day.

Wednesday, 4 November 2026, has been declared a public holiday to enable citizens to cast their votes.

As a South African citizen, you have the opportunity to help shape the future of your community.
Take a few minutes out of your day, visit your voting station and make your voice heard.

Get up. Show up. Vote.
