We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Adriana Swarts to the position of Manager: IDP, Performance Management and Communications.

Effective from 01 September 2023, Mrs Swarts will manage and evaluate the personnel of the Integrated Development Plan, Performance Management, and Communications departments and report to the Director: Strategy and Social Development.

Her duties will involve compiling the budget of the department, executing administration functions and reporting to management regarding projects implemented by the unit.

Her main responsibilities involve managing the IDP process and executing associated public participation processes to draft the IDP. Compiling the Performance Management policy and facilitate the drafting, adopting and effective implementation of an organizational PMS linked to the IDP.

Manage internal and external communication by utilising communication platforms within and outside local government.

Mrs Swarts has a bachelor’s degree in finance and has been an outstanding member of the Langeberg Municipality team as Manager: Budget Office for over 2years.

She has had vast exposure of public participation, communication to external stockholders, financial planning, budgeting, and reporting with 15 years’ experience in Local government industry. She previously worked as Budget Manager at Cederberg Municipality for 8 years.
