NOTICE TO FARM OWNERS – ELECTRICAL SUPPLY REPAIRS (BREËDE RIVER AREA)  

The Municipality informs residents and farm owners that repairs to the electrical supply for pumps next to the Breëde River have not yet commenced. Flood damage caused serious destruction to the electrical infrastructure in this area.  

Our teams are currently focused on repairing the main high‑voltage lines. Once these are restored, attention will shift to repairing the electrical supply to pumps.  

To ensure that all damaged points are identified and the correct materials are available for repairs, farm owners are requested to report all points requiring repair.  

Owners must provide the following information:  

- Name and surname of owner  

- Telephone number  

- Name of farm  

- Langeberg account number  

- Size of connection (if known) – typical sizes are 25kW, 50kW, or 100kW  (If the owner does not know the required detail, the Municipality will contact them to confirm the size of equipment powered from the point. Account records will also be checked to ensure correct supply capacity. )
