WARD COMMITTEE COMMUNITY MEETINGS: YOUR VOICE IN LOCAL GOVERNANCE
Ward committees play an important role in strengthening communication between the community and the municipality. A ward committee is made up of local residents who work with the Ward Councillor to identify community needs, raise concerns, and contribute to solutions that improve service delivery and development in the ward.
Ward committee community meetings provide residents with an opportunity to receive feedback, raise issues affecting their area, and share ideas and suggestions directly with their elected representatives. Your attendance and participation are important, as community input helps guide municipal planning, prioritisation of projects, and decision-making processes.
Speaking to your Ward Committee Representative or Ward Councillor is one of the key ways to communicate your needs and concerns to the municipality.
