pdf PUBLIC COMMENTS ON TENDER:74/2022 HAVING FUTURE BUDGETARY IMPLICATIONS

Notice is hereby given that the Langeberg Municipality is intending to purchase an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, which is mSCOA compliant from CCG Systems Pty Ltd for a period of 10 years. The Municipality has followed an open tender in procuring this system.

The current contract with the current service provider is coming to an end and a system is needed to automate and manage the municipality’s core business processes. Over and above the core financial system, the proposed system includes a SCM module, Human Resources Management and Performance Management sub systems.

The contract will be for 10 years and the total costs of the system over the 10-year period will be as indicated below:

The Municipality is currently using different systems which are integrated. Purchasing this new system will come at no additional cost over the lifespan of the system as the current costs of the current systems (core financial system, SCM system and performance management system) are in line with the costing of the new system. This means that this purchase will not have an impact on the current tariffs of the Municipality but will add more value as it includes more modules than the current systems.

In terms of section 33 of the Municipal Finance Management Act, No 56 of 2003 read with section 21A of the Municipal Systems Act, No 32 of 2000 the public is hereby invited to submit written comments or representations to the Director Financial Services, Langeberg Local Municipality, 28 Main Road, Ashton 6715 on or before 28 April 2023 via e-mail to the following address: This email address is being protected from spambots. Any person who cannot write may come during office hours to 28 Main Road, Ashton 6715 where Mrs Adriana Swarts (Manager Budget) of the municipality will assist that person to transcribe that person’s comments or representations.
