Due to a WARD VACANCY, a By-Election will be held on 3 February 2026 in Ward 4. All eligible voters are requested to apply to be registered as voters or to check if their names with addresses appear on the Voters’ Roll for Ward 4.

 You must have a South African green bar-coded ID, a smartcard or valid temporary ID certificate.
 You must be 16 years or older (but you will only be able to vote when you are 18 years or older).

 U moet ‘n Suid-Afrikaanse Burger wees.

 U moet 16 jaar of ouer wees (maar sal eers mag stem wanneer jy 18 jaar of ouer is)
 U moet persoonlik registereer.
 U moet slegs herregistreer indien u getrek het en in ‘n nuwe stemdistrik woon

Special Votes
Applications for Special Votes OPEN on 19 January 2026 AND CLOSE ON 23 January 2026 at 17:00.
There are two types of special votes:
1. Any registered voter who cannot vote at their voting station on Election Day could apply for a special vote. You will only be able to cast a special vote at the voting station where you are registered to vote. 
2. Any registered voter who is sick or disabled and cannot travel to his or her voting station could apply for a home visit.

Spesiale Stemme
Aansoeke vir spesiale stemme OPEN op 19 Januarie 2026 en SLUIT op 23 Januarie 2026 om 17:00.
Daar is twee soorte spesiale stemme:
Enige geregistreerde kieser wat nie op Stemdag by sy of haar stemlokaal kan stem nie, kan vir ’n spesiale stem aansoek doen. Jy sal ’n spesiale stem kan uitbring slegs by die stemlokaal waar jy geregistreer is om te stem. 
Enige geregistreerde kieser wat siek of gestrem is en nie na sy of haar stemlokaal kan reis nie, kan vir ’n tuisbesoek aansoek doen.

 Election fraud is a criminal offence punishable by law. Offenders can face imprisonment for up to 10 years. You MUST register where you are ordinarily resident.
